Client FAQ
It is free for clients to post jobs, receive quotes, browse local providers in the Directory and explore Deals and Promotions. Agree on the work, price and payment terms directly with your chosen provider. Quote It does not collect payment for their work on their behalf.
Download the app here. Sign up and select the Post Job tab.
Jobs with pictures get more quotes. Adding details like measurements to your job post always helps. In addition, make sure your job is posted in the right category to get the most engagement. You can always change the category your job is posted in by editing the job. If you have multiple jobs we suggest you post them individually in the most relevant category.
Faster means calls and quotes: eligible service providers can submit a quote and use Contact Now / Call Client Now to access the client's phone number and call about the job.
Standard means quotes only: providers can submit quotes, but Contact Now phone access is not enabled for that job. Conversations can continue in Inbox.
Faster enables the call option; it does not guarantee faster replies or a completed booking.
The Directory lets clients browse local service providers, view profiles, map locations, ratings, reviews and public badges, and message a provider about the work they need.
Providers pay an 8-credit connection fee only if they respond to a Directory inquiry, unless they have an active subscription. Receiving the inquiry alone does not trigger a fee.
Continue the conversation in Inbox. Clients and providers agree on the work, price and payment directly.
Deals and Promotions let service providers showcase their services and let clients discover local offers. A promotion with a genuine discount price becomes a Deal.
Open an offer to review the service, price, inclusions, area and conditions, then message the provider. Continue the conversation in Inbox and confirm the work and booking directly.
A provider is charged 8 credits only if they respond to a Deal or Promotion inquiry, unless they have an active subscription. Receiving a message alone does not trigger a fee.

Quote It may choose a Deal for additional promotion to local clients, including featuring it or sharing it through its promotional channels.
Featuring is selected by Quote It. Posting a Deal, bumping it or having a subscription does not guarantee selection, inquiries or bookings. A Featured Deal is not a certification or guarantee of the provider or their work.
The provider remains responsible for accurate pricing, clear conditions and honouring the offer. Quote It may remove a Deal or Promotion at any time, subject to its Terms.

Check the offer's stated conditions and discuss the issue with the provider through Inbox. Providers must make genuine offers and honour them while the post is active, subject to clearly disclosed conditions.
Save the offer details and report misleading or unhonoured offers through an available Report option or contact support@quoteit.ca. Removal or expiry of a post does not cancel an agreement you already made with the provider.
Your private contact details are not published as public profile information. Do not include private contact details in a public job post or image.
If you choose Faster (calls and quotes), a provider who has submitted a quote and chooses Contact Now / Call Client Now can access your phone number to call about the job. You do not have to message that provider first. Standard means quotes only and does not enable Contact Now phone access.
Contact Now does not automatically disclose your email address. Quote It handles private contact details under its Privacy Policy.

Messages is now called Inbox. Open Inbox to find and continue your conversations about quotes, Directory inquiries and Deals or Promotions. The name change does not change when connection credits are charged.
